Sharp Business Systems India Ltd. 

Is a subsidiary of Sharp Electronics Japan, with its head office in Delhi. They have a network of 23 branches all over India. Sharp in India, follows a centralized system of order processing. 

 

Branches collect orders and send them to the Head Office for acceptance and billing. Earlier these orders were sent to the HO by email or through courier as hard copies. This resulted in a huge amount of work at the HO, in re-entry of these orders, for processing and billing. The following systems have been developed to facilitate smooth working of the ordering cycle.

  1. Sharp Branch Management System – We developed an Intranet Application system called Branch Management System (BMS) that has been loaded at each of the 23 branches. The system allows branches to enter orders for existing or new customers. These orders are automatically sent to HO from the system. These orders reach the HO in a standard format and are directly uploaded in the Invoicing system using a batch process, with required validations. NO re-entry of orders is required at the HO, which saves time and effort in processing of the orders.
  2. Sharp Dispatch Information System – We also developed an Internet based solution for Order Status maintenance by their Distribution Logistic agency and Shipment Status check for the branches. This solution is available online at http://www.sbsil.com/ecrm/. The HO uploads the order and Invoicing details online using a batch process. The solution allows the distribution agency (a third party which does the Inventory Management and distribution for Sharp in India), to update the actual dispatch and delivery information online. All the branches are able to check the dispatch and delivery status of the orders booked by them.
